our invitation

our invites were made by Imaginovation.
it has three inserts. first is for the wedding entourage list, second is the reception details and its map and the third one is for RSVP. It was handmade with pressed flowers (yellow and purple) on it. I find it nice and simple. I really like the paper. The sample we have seen on expo was only pure green, so we suggested our supplier to add a touch of pink to follow our motiff. So what airees did was put the pink border on the main invites made the font pink.

Finally I got a time to update my blog. It was 2 months since I posted here. Well, sorry for those keep coming back here to read some post but end up reading nothing. I'm so busy these past couple of months. But don't worry, babawi ako.

here are our wedding preps update… (though it posted late)

The first supplier we booked. I really like his work. As I mentioned before he was my sister's wedding photographer. But what made me more convinced to get him was when I saw Cynthia and Dexter's pre-nuptial pictorial. What made me more excited about our wedding was when I saw their (cyn&dex) wedding pics and their album lay-out. (to view their pics click this -- http://cyndex.blogspot.com) I hope cynch won't get mad!! Aside from that, I'm comfortable working with him na.

Our prenups
Naku eto na ang kwento na hindi okay. Last September, alan asked me when will be our prenups. I told him later na lang kase nga we're busy. We couldn't find time and place na rin. Then came October I decided that our prenups be done here within metro manila to save money (for gas). Our scheduled date are November 4. two weeks before that date my eldest sister told me how nice the Avillon was. (She haven't been there, her friend told her about it and she saw some pics on the net). She was inviting us to visit the zoo together with my other sister and her family. She also suggested we can have our prenups there kasi nice daw talaga. At first it sounds crazy. Havung a prenups together with an animal??? She send me the website of the Avillon and I checked it out. I agree, the place is nice, its landscape, etc, etc. So we decided na dun na nga. Makakasave na rin ng gas kasi double purpose ang pagpunta dun, prenups kami, pasyal yung mga bata. But this was decided one day before the prenups. Early that day I will having a trial make-up and we already talked that he should be in our house at 12:30. So I called him na kung pwede ten nasa bahay na sya kasi we have to leave early. Avillon is on Montalban pa. Di sabi ng MUA may aasikasuhin daw sya sa munisipyo at 10 daw ang tapos nung so mga 11 pa sya makakarating. At first, nagpanic na ako. Baka malate na kami, oh no! Gusto ko na ngang ipacancel that night. That day (nov.4), its already 11 pro yung MUA wala pa. He came past 11, if I'm not mistaken it was 11:30 when he arrived. So I said he had to work fast for us not to be late. Aba! Ang sagot ba naman sa kin eh, "E di ba 3 pa pictorial!". Kaya nga sya pinapunta ng maaga kasi 12 aalis na kami at montalban pa pupuntahan namin at dadaanan pa namin si Kuya Alan. (GRRR) so nagstart na sya. Then I remembered its non working holiday (Ramadam). I also remembered what he said last night… "May aasikasuhin pa ko sa munisipyo ng 9 at 10 na ang tapos…" An tagal pa nya kumilos. Imagine he put 4 layers of foundation into my face!(Okay lang ba yun) In fairness to him, yung isa concealer. Its almost 1 in the afternoon nung matapos. My eldest sister keeps on calling. She's worried na, baka na kami. Yes! Hinapon na po kami. Nagback out na sis ko at wala na kming maaabutan dun. We end up to our initial plan -- sa parks and wildlife. 3:10 na nung nakarating kami sa QC circle, so anong oras na kami makakarating sa montalban?

Pagkasundo namin kay Alan, nagulat sya nung sumilip sa kotse. "Aba buong pamilya kasama" (Siksikan na kami). Di rin kami gano nakalayo kasi yung baby namin umiiyak na kaya konting view lang nakuhan, iba iba na lang ng post…

Oppss I'm running out of time. It's 10 pm already, I have to sleep (feel sleepy na rin)and wake up early, I'll post some updates next time. Prenups pics will be posted soon. (Hopefully tomorrow) By the way, I had a trial make up with Eddie Bruan last monday. Yung kwento next time na lang.

Last Friday night, we went to IMAGINOVATION to get 10 pieces (only) of our invites to be brought to France by my PIL. It was nice! Sorry I didn't get some shot to show it here, but promise I will show it as soon as we get the rest of our invites.

After that we went to megamall to pick the wax stamp that we ordered and brought wax stick and glue stick. When we got home, Oliver and I had practice doing stamp. We first tried it on glue stick and it didn't look so good since it looks like a plastic toy. And afterwards we tried to do it with the wax. Oliver did quite okay. He had seen movies doing to seal their letter with wax so he had an idea already.

Well, here are the samples of what we did. We have so much fun doing it. The gold one is made of wax and the silver is made of glue stick. And WHY JD… hmmm???!!!

met alex last monday night! we have finalized our cake design. its a combination of fruits and flowers. seen samples on his album and its... WOW! I'm so excited to see our wedding cake. im beginning to picture our cake in my mind, a five-layer satellite cake with fresh fruits and flowers (which is our wedding theme) over the table..

here's a sample of our cake (1st and 2nd layers, yung iba isip pa ko ng flavor na gusto ko). it is called Black & White. chocolate cake, mango & mousse, carrot cake (yata)

it's not just an ordinary day

i'm so tired and feel sleepy but i try to post pa rin what happened this day.

first we went to tumble tots. benedict had a trial lesson. benedict enjoyed it along with his cousin bujoi who was enrolled in the class. they had an art activity where you put glue on the paper and the children will put different shapes made of paper. when its time to do the next activity. the teacher took away those trays, my son cried. he didn't want to give it to his teacher. when it's time to go home and benedict wanted to stay. another crying time.

ate had to finish her work so we went home (in taguig) to eat for lunch. then at around 2pm we picked her up and went to U.N. ave to drop kuya ish there. hay! its already 4pm when we arrived at the rockwell. again benedict and bujoi went to playschool (gymboree) to leave them for awhile because we're going to visit the bridal fair. we have only 1 hour to go around the fair.

i'm looking for a couturier and a florist. their package is a bit pricey and the only thing that got my attention was Flowers Unlimited. they have an affordable package from entourage to the reception. they were talking to other clients and we can't wait coz we have to go back to our kids (with their yayas). but my sister insisted that we must talk to them coz their from cainta which is too far from paranaque.

as we wait, the emcee started to announce the winner in their raffle. first, she announced the winner of a cologne from one of the exhibitors. afterwards she announced the winner for a free pre-nuptial studio pictorial from mel cortez of decisive moments. she called my name and i was a bit surprised (and happy of course). ate was happy for me.

one hour had passed and we went back to pick our kids. another crying time. my baby and my nephew didn't want to get out but they have to, because thier time is over. then we ate our dinner at tokyo tokyo and went home. in our way home, benedict fell asleep. he was also tired.

i'm so tired but me and my baby have a great time...

at last, we have been permitted to marry again in our locale.

early this morning we went to central office of Iglesia Ni Cristo. we asked permission personally to Ka Dan B. Orosa. and he permitted us to marry on Jan. 9, 2006. so happy to hear it. now we have no worries on planning and booking suppliers on the said date. kase before nag-aalangan kami baka last minute mabago yung date. and now pwede na rin kaming gumawa ng save-the-date cards at pwede ng magstart ayusin yung invitation (the entourage, wordings, etc...)

have to talk to our ninongs & ninangs. we need to tell them earlier para alam nila na monday yung wed.

what can you say about this one. inisip ko dapat di lang loob ang inaayos pati rin gate. para entrance pa lang feel na ng guest yung reception, o di ba. pwedeng pwede to sa baluarte de san diego, ive seen the place kaya naisip kong ipost to para sa mga wawies ng garden ang reception venue.

Finally nakausap ko na rin ang famous cake maker na si Mr. Alex Franco. we already reserve him to do our wedding cake.

first time kong natikman yung cake nung birthday ko (when i was 21) bata pa rin po ako ngayun (whahahaha). birthday gift sa kin ni Ate Geng kasi sa kanila ginanap yung birthday ko (sa san francisco gardes sa boni, but now they reside in lakeview manors, taguig) parang bata magkwento. hehehe

wedding supplier sya ng ate Glenda ko. their cake was superb!!! so many times na kong nakatikim ng cake. kaya nga nafrustrate ako nung first time kong ibook sya. fully book na raw sya ng jan 8. buti na lang we changed our wedding date.

we get the five layer sattelite cake (yummy!!!). we haven't decided pa sa design. but i wanted na mix yung flowers and fresh fruits. haven't seen his wedding gallery on his website. but we are going to meet him this coming Jun 27 to talk about the details of our cake. o ayan lapit na mabuo dream team ko. hehehe!

we have our new caterer

Our first caterer was Hizon, unfortunately hindi siya accredited sa venue namin so we have to dropped it whether we like it or not. Now we have to look for another caterer. Medyo expensive na halos ng caterer na accredited tapos konti lang ammenities :( another factor kase sa pagpili ko ng caterer aside from food e yung ammenities. Josiah is the same like Hizon, I have second thought kase may negative feedbacks sister ko dun nung umattend sya ng wedding ng friend nya. So I asked Albergus (kase sabi ng Brother-in-law ko sarap daw ng food nila and ganda ng arrangement) namamahalan pa rin ako. Sa makati skyline naman ganun din (ok feedback nito sa mga father blanco bride). Hay! Another sakit na naman ng ulo...

nagbook kame sa venue namin. teka kwento muna ko about sa venue. Di dapat ito ang venue namin. kase book na sya ng Jan8. fortunately di kame pwede ng Jan 8, so sabi ko 18 na lang. so i called mabel, she told me waiting daw ako til monday kung di magda down yung nagpareserve. E sunday nagdown. Di another frustration ulit. Pina text ni hubby kung ano pang available date ng jan. e di nagreply si ms. mabel. (ay! napost ko na yata about this)

anyway, balik tayo sa caterer. We asked mabel kung anong maisasuggest nyang caterer na okay yung food pati na yung set up. she told us na mag-ocular na lang and have a food tasting. day afrter tommorow may set up ang josiah sa place. nagpareserve nya sya ng food tasting for us.

thursday, Jun 8, late na dumating si oliver. dapat 3:00 nasa house na sya 4 na sya dumating. di nagyayaya na ko. he knew that we have a food tasting pro di nya alam kung anong caterer. so he asked me, i answered him, "josiah". o akala ko ba ayaw mo yun? di ba sabi mo may negative feedback dun. sabi ko oo pro try pa rin natin. ayaw nya. so lambing lambing konti then pumayag rin.

nung nandun na kame di namin nakita yung set up sa pool kase umulan kaya ipinasok sa loob yung tables. (another thing i like in Cp aside from the sunset may back up in case na umulan, pro wag naman sana umulan sa wedding namin). chicka chicka kay Ms. Jet (owner ng josiah). may price rollback sila. WOW! medyo pasok sa budget (nasira po budget ko sa venue, hahaha) they will allow us to use sorento chairs for our for free. saka nasarapan ni oliver yung mongolian bbq (on-d-spot cooking sya). mabait naman si Ms Jet. ok kausap.

on our way home, isip isip kame ni hubby. then we decided na yun na lang. we have another food tasting in their office in Libis. Sinama ko sister ko at hubby nya para may critics, hehehe. we saw their set-up sa pics. ganda naman ng mga basic set-up nila. we booked the lowest price. then nakapili rin ako ng centerpiece. i'll post it here later.

change of date

nakakapressure pala mag plan for the big day! whew... malapit lapit ng masira ulo ko (wag naman, ibibitin daw akong patiwarik ni oliver) haha, di ko alam na ganito pala.

originally our wedding was supposed to be on Jan 7, 2006. but fo me, gusto ko sana 28 para parehas ng sa civil wed namin which is august 28. pero impossible ng 28 kasi dumudepende kami sa availability ng parents-in-law ko. We moved it to Jan 8 for certain reason (dont ask, matatawa lang kayo).

so we started scouting for wedding suppliers. we got passion photography, jason magbanua ang imaginovation for invites.

last april, my parents-in-law, oliver and I went to scout for reception venue. among the three (coconut palace, baluarte and puerta real), coconut was their choice (huhu, pano na hizon's ko). but when we inquired for the availability of the date we found out that it was alredy booked (late na kasi kame nag-inquire). so we are planning to get puerta real that time.

later on may i was informed that no wedding ceremony held on sundays in ou locale. and if we want to have our wedding done in other locale we have two choices. we have to ask permission on the central or we have to transfer in another locale (magpapatala at dun sasamba, kailanagan dun din nakatira). our kalihim told me that it will take 6 months bago maapprove request namin. shocks baka kapusin kami ng time sa pagprepare particular on invites and distribution of it. then we decided to talk to our pastor baka may magagawa pa. he said di daw talaga pwede, try daw namin sa ibayo kase pwede daw dun. gusto kasi namin manila area para malapit sa venue. di rin daw pwede kasi malayo na raw.

so pati si hubby mahahawa na rin sa kin. baka daw mauna na sa kin masira ulo. hehehe. lalo na ko, kasi mag-iiba na naman ng date??? sabi ko 18 na lang wednesday, kasi love ko talaga ang 8. pumayag sya pro di ganon kasaya kasi pag 18, hindi makakag new year dito PIL ko. pro okay lang sa kanya, kung san daw ako masaya.

ilang araw na malungkot si hubby ko. (bihira kasi dito mag new year PIL, and since baby pa oliver lola na nag-aalaga) di malingkot din ako. so i talked to him, sige 9 na lang. para masaya ka, masaya PIL. then he asked me if i'm happy, i answered yes but not so happy. tawa sya (mahilig kasi kaming magkulitan kahit seryoso ng usapan). i went out of our room, pasok sa kabilang room, medyo nag-emote konti. paglabas ko desidido na ako kahit ano mangyari. we called our suppliers to tell about the changes. and we booked our venue.

huhuhu! our first choice reception venue, coconut palace, available no more...

we went there this afternoon and it is already book on jan. 8, 2006. how sad.
grabe halos buong january may bookings na. di ko naman alam na ganun pala kabilis ang mga pangyayari. akala ko kasi masyado pang maaga. di na ko nadala nung kay jason.

gusto pa naman namin dun yung sunset. ganda pa naman ng place saka ng idea ni oliver.

the brighter side is baka makuha pa namin ang hizon's. punta kami dun bukas magpapareserve na baka maunsyami ulit. in demand pa naman din yata yun.

kanina nakausap pala ko si veluz reyes kanina. nirefer sya sa kin ni kuya allan borras (official wed photographer). tinanong nya wedding date. then sabi nya marami na raw syang tanggap para sa month ng january, hindi kasi ganun kalaki production capacity para tumanggap ng marami. since nirefer ako ni kuya allan titingnan daw nya kung pwede pa. kahit sana yung wedding gown lang. (na sad ako ulit)
she will see kung pwede pa but di sya nagpromise. text daw nya ko sa friday. pina email na lang nya sa kin yung gown na gusto ko. actually simple lang yung nakita ko sa magazine. kulang lang sa drama (masyado kasi syang plain lang) pro pag nadagdagan mas maganda. post ko dito sa blog ko yung nakita ko sa mag.

im still hoping na makuha ko si veluz. maganda mga gawa nya saka maganda ang feedback nya sa W@W. di lang sa gown mismo pati na rin sa pagdeal ng client.

ano ba yan lahat yata ng choices namin masyadong in demand sa wedding industry.
